For the travelers that are thinking of taking a holiday in Mexico, you will love the pristine beaches that are around the hotel zone in Cancun. The beaches were restored to their beauty by over two hundred people after a violent storm carried much of the sand away. Visitors that spend time on these beaches agree that they are fantastic.

The accommodations at the posh resorts are not the only thing about Cancun that is inviting and luxurious, the beaches are inviting as will.

The beaches, after being rebuilt, seem 50% bigger than what they used to be. This gives all the visitors to this lovely area a lot more space to relax and enjoy all the activities that are on offer.

The beaches extending into the Caribbean are usually referred to as the north side beaches. The beaches on the north side are protected for the strong currents by Isla Mujeres. Many people find that this beach is great for family fun and swimming since the winds and waves are extremely mild.

Vacationers that like to take part in water sports might like the beaches on the east side.

Located at the beginning of the Hotel Zone where the land stretches into the Caribbean you will find Playa Las Perlas, this is a very popular beach for all swimming and water sport enthusiasts, close by are plenty of bars and restaurants.

Playa Linda is a beach that is popular because of the many tourist destinations. It is on the north side and is known for the calm and crystal clear waters making it perfect for water sports. For the scuba enthusiast, there are scuba diving tours available in the area.

Plus, this is one place where the sun is not the only thing that is burning hot.

Those who choose a beach at the east side of Cancun will experience far breezier and higher waves than the north side, although there are still some beaches that are family friendly to choose from.

Playa Marlin, Gaviota Azul and Chac Mool are probably the most northern on the east side of the hotel zone, though the beaches may not seem as glamorous as other beaches. Due to the high wave action, these beaches are popular for people who enjoy para-sailing, and windsurfing.
