Laws of Gravity: Extreme, lucid journal of 3 significant nights in the lives of a set of youthful blue-collar Brooklyn robbers and their lady friends. Shot on a minuscule spending limit, and differentiated by abrasive, Scorsese-Iike reality. The acting is superb and Jean de Segonzac's hand-clutched camcorder is a chief plus. Cast includes Peter Greene, Adam Trese, Edie Falco, Arabella Territory, and Paul Schulzie. (100 minutes, 1991)
Belles on Their Toes: Here, widowed architect Loy will battle to aid (in addition to raise) her aging brood. 20th Century Fox back lot seen at its best in recollecting early 1900s America.
