Browsing For A Wonderful Movie? Check Out These Fantastic Movie Critiques

Whenever a Hollywood movie is released the objective is to create a film that the public loves and that will become a smash hit. Take a remarkable story, throw in a few remarkable stars along with some special effects and voila', a huge box office success. But it does not always work that way. Sometimes a motion picture will include everything that you think might make it a success and it still fails at the box office. There is no such thing as a sure thing in Hollywood.

Bug - film rendition of Tracy Letts' play is tough to take critically however not without a twist or two if you could acknowledge it as a stunt. This is simply bug versus man. Cast includes Ashley Judd, Michael Shannon, Harry Connick, Jr., Lynn Collins, and Brian F. O'Byrne. (101 minutes, 2007)

Kimberley Jim - Little musical of 2 untroubled gamblers who win a fortune in a fixed poker game, and then have a change of heart. Cast includes Jim Reeves, Madeleine Guide, Clive Pamell, Arthur Swemmer, and Mike Holt. (82 minutes,'65)

The Seniors - 4 collegians open a fake sex hospital, which mushrooms into a multi million dollar business. The movie is alternately stupid and sarcastic, with some harmless nudity thrown in. Cast includes Jeffrey Byron, Gary Imhof, Dennis Quaid, Lou Richards, PrisciIla Barnes, Alan Reed, Edward Andrews, Robert Emhardl, and Alan Hewitt. (87 minutes,'78)

The Last Seduction - Pathologically malevolent and stunningly sensual woman ditches her spouse, pillages the cash he's made in a drug deal, and escapes N.Y.C. to a tiny upstate town where she attracts and bewilders a local gentleman who becomes her latest patsy. Fiorentino's spicy femme fatale makes Stanwyck in Triple Indemnity look like Snow White! The movie is a scorching, seductive thriller from contemporary film noir master Dahl and author Steve Barancik. Cast includes Linda Fiorentino, Peter Berg, J. T. Walsh, Bill Nunn, Bill Pullman, Michael Raysses, and Zach Phifer. (110 minutes,'94)

Fantasies - Sloppy nonsense in regards to Derek's and Hooten's attempts to turn a Greek island into a tourist trap. Shot in'73, while Bo was sixteen. Cast includes Bo Derek, Peter Hooten, Anna Alexiadis, Phaedon Gheorghitis, and Therese Bohlin. (81 minutes,'81)
