Computer Training in CompTIA - Update

By Jason Kendall

The CompTIA A+ course covers 4 different sectors - you'll have to qualify in 2 different areas to be considered A+ competent. This is why, many training establishments restrict their A+ to just two of the 4 sectors. We consider that this is selling you short - sure, you can pass an exam, but knowing about the others will give you greater confidence in industry, where knowledge of all four will be necessary. This is why you need education in the whole course.

As well as learning how to build PC's and fix them, students on an A+ training course will learn how to work in antistatic conditions, along with remote access, fault finding and diagnostics.

If you would like to be a man or woman who works for a larger company - fixing and supporting networks, build on A+ with Network+, or consider the Microsoft networking route (MCSA - MCSE) because it's necessary to have a wider knowledge of how networks work.

Training support for students is an absolute must - ensure you track down something providing 24x7 full access, as not obtaining this level of support will severely hold up your pace and restrict your intake.

Find a good quality service with proper support available at any time you choose (even if it's early hours on Sunday morning!) Ensure you get direct access to tutors, and not access to a call-in service which takes messages - so you're constantly waiting for a call-back at a convenient time for them.

Keep your eyes open for training programs that incorporate three or four individual support centres around the globe in several time-zones. All of them should be combined to give a single entry point and 24x7 access, when it's convenient for you, with no hassle.

Search out a training school that offers this level of study support. Only proper round-the-clock 24x7 support delivers what is required.

Remember: the actual training or an accreditation isn't what this is about; the particular job that you want to end up in is. Far too many training organisations put too much weight in the qualification itself.

Avoid becoming one of the unfortunate masses who choose a training program that seems 'fun' or 'interesting' - and get to the final hurdle of an accreditation for something they'll never enjoy.

You need to keep your eye on where you want to go, and formulate your training based on that - avoid getting them back-to-front. Keep on track - making sure you're training for something you'll still be enjoying many years from now.

Have a conversation with someone that has a commercial understanding of the realities faced in the industry, and who can give you a detailed description of what you actually do in that role. Getting all these things right long before commencement of any training programme will prevent a lot of wasted time and effort.

Getting into your first IT role sometimes feels easier to handle if you're supported with a Job Placement Assistance program. The need for this feature can be bigged up out of proportion though - it's quite easy for eager sales people to overplay it. Ultimately, the still growing need for IT personnel in this country is what will make you attractive to employers.

However, don't procrastinate and wait until you have finished your training before polishing up your CV. As soon as you start studying, enter details of your study programme and get promoting!

Getting your CV considered is more than not being regarded at all. A decent number of junior positions are bagged by people in the early stages of their course.

Generally, you'll receive better results from an independent and specialised local recruitment consultancy than any training course provider's national service, because they will be more familiar with the area and local employers.

Many people, apparently, conscientiously work through their course materials (for years sometimes), only to give up at the first hurdle when finding a job. Market yourself... Do everything you can to put yourself out there. Don't think a job's just going to jump out in front of you.

Throw out the typical salesman who offers any particular course without an in-depth conversation so as to understand your abilities plus your experience level. They should be able to select from a generous product range so they're actually equipped to give you an appropriate solution.

Occasionally, the starting point of study for someone with some experience will be substantially different to the student with none.

Opening with a basic PC skills module first is often the best way to start into your IT program, depending on your current skill level.

NY Jets Rip Hapless Raiders

By Ross Everett

The New York Jets and rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez found a sure fire cure to their recent struggles-a game against the lowly Oakland Raiders. Sanchez passed for--3 yards and a touchdown, plus added a rushing touchdown as New York thumped Oakland 38-0 in the largest regular season shutout win in franchise history. The Jets improved their record to 4-3 while the Raiders dropped to 2-5.

NFL football betting enthusiasts who took the Jets as -6 road favorites had smooth sailing throughout the game for an easy pointspread cover. The Jets improved to 4-3 against the spread while the Raiders fell to 3-5 against the number. The 38 points scored went OVER the posted total of 34. Both teams have gone UNDER in four of seven games this season. Oakland failed to score a touchdown for the 15th game in the past four seasons.

It was such an effortless game that the only thing that Sanchez had to apologize for was surreptitiously eating a hot dog near the end of the contest:

"I want to apologize for that. I wasn't feeling very good and didn't eat much before the game, so I was feeling a little queasy. Toward the end of the game, I probably should have eaten one of those bars or something, but someone offered a hot dog, so I grabbed it and tried to be discreet about it, but obviously not discreet enough. So I shouldn't have done that, and it won't happen again."

The Jets capitalized on three early Raiders' turnovers and started two of their first three drives inside the five yardline. Sanchez praised the defense for making his job easy:

"It makes it so easy on the offense when your defense is playing like that. Hats off to them, they had a heck of a game to shut that team out. I don't care who we're playing, that's a big-time accomplishment for our team."

Jets' coach Rex Ryan was very pleased with Sanchez's performance:

"Sanchez was great. He was just smart with the football. I think sometimes he could have put the ball on a receiver, but he was making sure the ball wasn't intercepted. It was great to see him respond."

Raiders' defensive lineman Richard Seymour, who boldly predicted the team would make the playoffs despite their slow start, was singing a different tune after the rout:

"I don't think we could have beaten an Oakland high school team today."

Despite Russell's struggles, Oakland coach Tom Cable remains committed to him as the team's starter:

"I thought he was really out of sorts early in the game. I just did not feel like at that point he gave us the best chance to have the success we needed to have offensively and made the move. JaMarcus will continue to be our starter. There is no issue there."

The Raiders will try to bounce back this weekend in a big rivalry game on the road against the San Diego Chargers. Oakland is +16' road underdogs with the total set at 42'. They'll then enjoy a bye week before back to back home games against the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals. The Jets host Miami this Sunday, with New York a -3' home favorite and the total set at 40'.

Are The Online Casino Sites Worth Playing

There are lots of online casino sites on the Internet. It makes it really difficult to tell which ones to play or not. Most of the time they are all real online sites approved by the gaming corp. If they are not then the Corp has them removed.

Usually you can get a starting up bonus of anywhere from five to twenty five dollars to start to play the game. You get it for free but have to send yourself more money and usually they will match what you put in your casino bank.

You can deposit money from your bank account, charge cards or from pay pal. Like I said once you do that they will instantly deposit money in there as well for you. IF you win and want to use the money in real life just transfer it back through pay pal. This though, can take a few days so make sure you aren't doing it cause you have no money because you can count on not seeing this money till at least one week has gone by from when you deposited it.

There are different games on the sites as well. You can play the different slots or go and sit at a table just like in real life. There are many different games. If it is in a real casino then you can find it online. If you get stuck there are plenty of topics available in help to assist you in getting through the game. Some gaming sites even allow you to put up a avatar character instead of a blank or a real picture.

It can be a problem though. Just as much as you can get addicted to a real casino it can happen to a online one as well. If you feel that you are having a issue stop and go through the contact area on the site and look for a phone number that can get you the assistance that you need to stop gambling,

IF you like casinos but not the tables there are many different things you can do. You can even play bingo on there. Online casinos like to make sure that there is a variety of entertainment for everyone that comes to the site. There is also contests and free give aways as well. Be prepared to get invites in your email and mail as well. Just look when your signing up and if you don't want updates and promotions just check off the box that says no.

I prefer online playing. I never have to leave the house, loose my seat at a slot, have someone looking over my shoulder or sit at a table for hours and hours. These to me are some great advantages to not going to to the casino. Especially on those cold winter nights when I really do just want to sit at home and relax on the computer.

Tips On How To Loose Weight The Right Way

By Jerald Price

Meticulous planning, patience and adherence to a prescribed schedule are all required to get that perfect figure, which is free of extra body fat. When it comes to slimming, there is no quick path to success. You have to set your goals, and then work hard with proper guidance from an expert.

Weight loss programs are most of the times straightforward in nature, but an everyday exercise regimen has to be complemented with a healthy and properly balanced diet. A diet program can start with lists that you can prepare for foods to be eaten extensively, those to be consumed in small quantities and lastly foods to be totally given up. The purpose here is to get used to regulated eating, with only as much consumption as is essential for healthy living.

The perfect diet should concentrate heavily on protein-rich foods, green vegetables, and home-made preparations. On the other hand you should stay away from saturated fats and food which has a lot of sugar. Labels mentioning ingredients and calorific value are pasted to most food products sold in the stores nowadays. Always read the information printed on these labels before buying. Besides, some foods sold in the market should be strictly shunned, like junk foods which are full of calories but nothing to show for nutritional value.

Extra fat also needs to be burnt and muscle mass enhanced through daily workout. Sports like basket ball, tennis, and cycling can be indulged in, as they are good overall workouts for the body. You can choose someone who has a similar routine like you have, and engage him in your sports activities as that will always keep you pepped up and inspired.

Every person has a unique build and physique, which means that a weight management program should be customized for an individual. Appointing a personal trainer is often helpful as he will be able to prepare a suitable program for you and make sure you stick to your program. A personal instructor is very much required if you have not found a companion for the program.

It may take a few weeks for weight management programs to sculpt the contours of your physique, but you will feel its immediate effects in the form of a greater sense of well-being and a major reduction in levels of stress. Although after some time you will begin noticing that it is helping you to realize your dream of achieving a perfect and shapely figure. The best thing about such balanced weight loss programs is that their benefits will stay with you for a long time, which does not happen in other techniques.

Can I Join A Online Casino For Free

There has become so many different online casino web sites. It is a rather confusing thing for most but most of the sites are real and it is because the gaming corporation wouldn't have it any other way. There are a few really good ones out there.

If you go to the website of one you have selected you can see that you are gong to be told that you can play for free for the first few dollars. Usually it is 5. 00-25. 00 and then after that they will double what you put in there to play with when you make that first deposit.

Depositing money is easy. You can do it through really anywhere. MasterCard's and Visa's, Debit checking cards, as well as pay pal. I personally use pay pal because I can transfer my wining back to my account it just takes some time to get there that's all.

There is a wide variety to play online. You can do everything from slots to the different table top games that are at the real casinos. You are able to play them all in your own home and if you get stuck there are tutorials to help you through and make it go easier.

Just like being in a real casino it can sometimes get the best of you and get you addicted to it. This opens up a door that you don't really want to happen so keep a eye on yourself and contact the help number that is listed on the website for these situations.

Like I said there are games for everyone there. You can even get to games like bingo if slots and tables are not your favourite games to play. Online casinos do a good job at thinking about all their customers and what everyone wants to play. Make sure you decide when you set up the account how you want promotions sent to you. Whether it is through the mail or email.

There are advantages to sitting at home to play. You never have to leave the house, and you always get to wear what you want to your casino even if it is pajamas. Your food and drinks are free and best of all you don't have to worry about no seats being available at your favorite games or not. I have done both and honestly like sitting at home playing a lot more then i like leaving the house on a balmy winters day.

Top Ten Sitcoms of All Time

By Wayne Torres

Three's Company: This show started in the 1970s and was a surprise hit. A guy pretending to be gay and living with 2 women was very provocative back then. Maybe even taboo to many during that era.

Nine. The Dick Van Dyke Show. Just about everybody on this show was hilarious. An absolute classic.

Eight. Arrested Development. Ron Howard was this cable tv show's creator. Based on the daily lives of the very funny Bluth family who lost their family business due to corruption..

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Hilarious show with very entertaining characters and interesting stories. The plotlines of this show are much deeper than most comedies out there.

Six. I Love Lucy. Possibly the most popular sitcom of all time. Since first airing in 1951, the reruns of this show have been non-stop.

5. Curb Your Enthusiasm comes from the creator of Seinfeld. A very funny television show which tends to use some profanity during the episodes. Very funny and packed with sexual innuendos.

4. The Simpsons. 20 years! That's an insane amount of time yet every single episode has been hilarious. Homer, Bart, Marge, Lisa, and Maggie have provided us with laughs all this time.

All In The Family. Another one of the classics that opened more doors for other sitcoms. Incredibly funny but they did so with intelligence rather than cheap shots.

Seinfeld. Ensured to become a classic, this television show was hot right out of the gates all the way until the final episode where the final line of the show just happened to be the very first line on the very first episode; these details are what made this show so funny.

One. The Honeymooners. Jackie Gleason once said that they were four people on one small set that managed to be funny and entertaining without profanity or any sort of sexual innuendo. Most of the episodes took place in the Kramden's kitchen with only the four primary actors. And it was funny.

The Story Of'77 Triple Crown Winner Seattle Slew

By Ross Everett

Seattle Slew died on May 7, 2002 at the age of 28. One of only 11 winners of horse racing's prestigious 'Triple Crown' he is by default considered among the all time greats in thoroughbred racing. Of the eleven horses to win the Triple Crown, he is the only one to do so with an undefeated record. He was also notable due to his humble beginnings, and is the only Triple Crown winner to have been purchased at public auction. He retired to stud in'78 and sired over 100 stakes race winners including'84 Kentucky Derby champion, Swale. Slew's offspring have earned a combined $76 million dollars at the race track. Slew wasn't the most majestic looking creature by the lofty standards of race horses, but was possessed with the heart, toughness and courage of a professional prizefighter.

The Seattle Slew story started at a public auction in Kentucky--not exactly a venue expected to produce a future champion. Slew, in particular, was an unlikely heir to greatness. He was somewhat clumsy looking due to a front right forefoot splay and had a shuffling gait at trot. Slew wasn't a beautifully majestic creature like his Triple Crown winning predecessor, Secretariat. In fact, he could have been considered borderline ugly--to the extent that he was nicknamed 'Baby Huey' by the Keeneland staff. What wasn't apparent at the time was Slew's mixture of championship intangibles--competitive desire, toughness, heart and enthusiasm. His owners had unwittingly stumbled onto an equine Muhammad Ali, and his competitive fire quickly became apparent to his trainers and jockeys. His first race came at Belmont Park in'76, and he entered--and won--three races as a two year old giving a glimpse as to what like ahead.

Slew quickly became a horse to watch as a three year old as he won three Derby prep races including the Wood Memorial. In the Derby, Slew got off to a terrible start as he stumbled out of the gate. He recovered from the miscue and essentially bulled his way through a pack of horses to lead at the 1/4 mile pole. Slew would win the Derby by a length and 3 quarters. He took another tough victory at the Preakness before clinching the Triple Crown with a 4 length victory in the Belmont Stakes.

Slew ran in a few races as a 4 year old but in the pre-Breeders' Cup days there wasn't as many opportunities for an older horse. He retired to stud in'78. We've already discussed his prowess in the breeding shed, siring a number of first rate horses such as the aforementioned Swale, and the'92 Belmont champ AP Indy. Slew stood at Three Chimneys Farm in Midway, Kentucky from'85 until early 2002 when he was moved to Hill 'n' Dale Farm in Lexington, KY following a spinal operation.

Slew was in someways overshadowed during his prime by his predecessor--and arguably the greatest thoroughbred race horse in history--1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat. In hindsight, however, it has finally been noted what an exceptional horse he really was. Jockey Angel Cordero, who rode Slew during the twilight of his career noted "If I had a chance to take any horse in the world, if someone said your life is depending on riding one horse to win, I would take (Slew). I rode 44,000 horses, but he was special, he was different. He was muscled, like a wrestler. He ran different than any other horse. It was like he came from another planet."

Following his death in 2002, Slew was laid to rest at Hill 'n' Dale Farm in Kentucky under a statue memorializing his legacy.
